Made out of Wild Olive wood from South Africa.
Scientific name: Olea Europeae
This particular wood is harvested in South Africa mainly from farms and rural areas where they were used as fencing posts in the old days. In some of some of my sculptures you can see "holes" that were drilled so that the fencing wire could connect to each post. Wild olive is hard and dense.
